STUDY ABROAD

CLAS students who are planning on studying abroad can petition for substitutions for general education requirements. Substitutions will not be made until the course has been completed, a grade assigned and the credits posted to the student's UConn transcript. Please contact the Academic Services Center once all of your study abroad courses have been posted.

Go to the study abroad website and click on "Getting Academic Credit" and then click on "6. Will Some Courses I take abroad satisfy General Education requirements" for the list of study abroad programs and courses which the CLAS Academic Services Center has approved for CLAS general education substitutions. Please contact the CLAS Academic Services Center if there is a course that you feels fulfills the spirit of a general education requirement which is not listed that you would like considered as a substitution.
